Exhibition Concept:
Photographs deconstructing historic imagery coupled with photographic installations as well as images of the places at which sexualized male violence against women in okinawa happened are shaped into an exhibition which examines the violence in daily life left behind by a patriarchal society performing masculinity through war.
The exhibition attempts a rereading of historic- and iconic imagery by juxtaposing photography with installation and archival imagery suggestion a different narrative between the images. A narrative that is not natural or factual but performative and patriarchal.

Through mixing ficticious documentary images with archival images made by U.S. Navy soldiers during the occupation of Japan in a theatrical staging the work interrogates patriarchal order in society as a performative truth and as an performance of truth. The recontextualization of archival images allows a look at these images through a contemporary photographical lens.

Exhibition Concept:
The exhibition consist of three pieces;
- a handmade photography, showing the artists self-portrait in 1s and 0s. The exhibit is the product of a 20-hour-performance in which the artist painted 1s and 0s in accordance to the order of the actual data being read out by a machine.
- 200 A.I. generated mug shots of the artist which are then printed on film and have been handprinted in the dark room.
- a program solely coded for the express purpose to introduce random numbers in the code of the digital files of the A.I. - Images. The code leads to visual bugs and the eventual overall whitening into which the visual dissolves.
