Traveler, outsider, both accurate descriptions of a status rather than a state. Being foreign to a place meanst hat every relationship is eternally contingent. Impermanence is the only constant. This finitude grows into intimacy. Intimate knowledge of each others state and urgency before exchanging words. An understanding based on inconsistency allows for an ephemeral gaze into the constants of one´s environment; allows to be a fluid component of a rigid society; allows for bonds to not go from me to you but to forever be impermanent between us. This work seeks to gaze into the impermanence which materializes at the fringes.

旅人、よそ者――どちらも状態というよりはむしろ、ある立場を的確に表す言葉だ。異邦人であるということは、あらゆる関係が永遠に不確定なものであることを意味する。無常こそが唯一の不変。この有限性が親密さへと昇華する。言葉を交わす前に、互いの状態や切迫感を深く理解する。不整合に基づく理解は、自らの環境の不変性を垣間見ることを可能にし、硬直した社会の中で流動的な存在となることを可能にし、そして、絆が「私」から「あなた」へと移るのではなく、私たち二人の間に永遠に続くことを可能にする。
この作品は、周縁に現れる無常を見つめようとする試みである。
